Friendliest market in Tassie

Banjo's New Norfolk Market in High Street

A High Street hit.

The New Norfolk Saturday street market is going from strength to strength. The markets stalls in High Street every Saturday from 8 am to 2 pm have proved to be a hit with locals and visitors alike. And now they have received a further boost with the support of Banjo’s Bakery Cafe. Market owner/operator, Jessica Cosgrove unveiled the new arrangement via the very active New Norfolk Market Facebook page . . .

“Exciting announcement! I am incredibly grateful for the support the market has received from 'Banjo's New Norfolk' to date, and to contribute to its long-term success I have officially entered into an ongoing 'agreement to support' contract with them. This will mean there will be changes to branding around the market and it will take on the new name of the 'Banjo's New Norfolk Market”. Response to the news has been very positive and supportive as people see Banjo’s as a great fit given their record of supporting various community initiatives in the past.

1-year anniversary.

November 2018 marks the one-year anniversary of the street market that sees 2 blocks of High St in the CBD closed to traffic. Stallholders and shop proprietors welcome pedestrians to choose from a wide range of fresh produce, plants, jewellery, arts and craft, woodwork, clothing, bric-a-brac, hot food and much more. There’s usually some form of live entertainment going on as well so everyone is invited to get to the Banjo’s New Norfolk Market to help celebrate their 1st birthday.
