    Discover this tranquil 1940s lodge 30 minutes from Hobart, set amongst tall trees and gardens, on the edge of the historical town of New Norfolk (settled 1807), close to the Derwent River and only 35 minutes from Mount Field National Park and the attractions of the Derwent Valley.

     

    Explorers Lodge offers comfortable ensuite Bed and Breakfast rooms and a self-contained one or two bedroom Apartment.

     

    Facilities include newly furbished Guests Lounge with log fire, Breakfast Room with all day complimentary coffee/tea and snacks available. Our Sunroom is a popular place for relaxing in between your busy site seeing, fishing and walking trips – or a great place to curl up with a book!

    Stayed in the self contained apartment. Beautiful and spacious overlooking the lovely garden. Owner was friendly and helpful and there were lots of yummy treats to eat. The breakfast provisions were abundant! Highly recommend it! !
