Located just 36kms North West of Hobart, the New Norfolk Caravan Park is situated on the banks of the beautiful Derwent River.
The park has 40 powered sites. 28 are drive-through sites and the other 12 are suited for motorhomes and small caravans. We also have two self-contained cabins and there are also 25 unpowered site spaces in the park, all of which are grassed with plenty of trees to provide shade.
The Town of New Norfolk spreads across both sides of the Derwent River with the main shopping district a five-minute walk from the Caravan Park. The town is home to many antique stores as well as the oldest continuously licensed hotel in Australia — the Bush Inn which is just a 5-minute walk from the park. From the New Norfolk Caravan Park, there is a popular walking track that follows the Derwent River through the wetlands to Tynwald Park where you can see wild ducks and platypus. The river itself is a popular fishing spot.
There are many attractions within the surrounding areas that are appropriate for people of all ages such as the historical Salmon Ponds, Mount Field National Park and Historic Willow Court. The New Norfolk Caravan Park offers full facilities for the traveller including:
The Park is pet-friendly, but dogs must be under control and kept on a lead at all times.
