ABC TV’s Tasmania-based comedy show ‘Rosehaven’ is returning to our screens.
Popular Logie-nominated actors and writers, Luke McGregor and Celia Pacquola will start shooting soon for the third series of the quirky comedy with planned airing in late 2018.
In past series, New Norfolk (amongst other towns) provided various set locations including the Pennyworth Treasures shop that provided the street facade for the ‘Op Shop’ in the fictitious ‘Rosehaven’ town. Both series proved extremely popular with local viewers as well as audiences on the north island and across the world.
In Series 3, lead characters Daniel (Luke McGregor) and Emma (Celia Pacquola in her AACTA Award-winning role) are ‘pulling up trees’ as proper real estate agents in their small town agency owned and managed by Daniel’s mum (Kris McQuade). There’ll be more twists and turns as the pair deal with tenants, landlords and the usual bunch of local characters. Rumour has it that there may also be major changes in Dan’s and Emma’s personal lives and a real estate opportunity that threatens to divide the whole town.
A Screen Tasmania Spokesperson said, “It’s great to have Rosehaven coming back for another season and we are thrilled to be a part of it. It has helped cement Tasmania’s reputation as an exceptional filming destination, with wide-ranging on-screen and off-screen local talent, as well being a great place to visit.”
