“This Place Matters
The Friends of Willow Court are hosting an open day at Willow Court on Sunday 5 May that will provide a day packed full of history with displays, tours of the Barracks Precinct, and poetry readings about Willow Court by poet Liz McQuilkin.
The Friends of Willow Court are also gathering stories on ‘Why Willow Court Matters’ and invite visitors to tell their story.
Program of Events :
- Historical display in Barracks 10 am – 4 pm
- Tours of Barracks Precinct buildings: 10 am, 12 pm & 2 pm
- Poetry readings: 11:30 am & 1:30pm.
As part of the “This Place Matters” story project, visitors can contribute a story in writing or leave their details for future contact. Artifacts brought to the site during the day will be photographed and recorded for future reference.
The entry price for the poetry reading, talks and display is only $6 per person.
Entry including tour is $20 ($6 for children under 16 years of age).
